Thank you to all who attended the NYGFOA 39th Annual Conference, held in Albany at the end of March. The conference started with keynote speaker Matthew Goerke on The Memory Switch and NYS Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli's remarks on New York's fiscal status, and concluded with The Word from Washington from Executive Director/CEO of National GFOA of the U.S. and Canada and a Snapshot on Today's Economy.

Between the bookending highlights were 18 educational sessions on a variety of topical and timely issues of government finance such as the tax reform act, cybersecurity, and proposed changes to the financial reporting model.  Rounding out the lively experience were 65 exhibitor booths, 8 preconference training sessions, social events like Casino Night, and a new conference app.  Although some from NYC and Long Island couldn't attend as planned due to weather conditions, the response of those who were in attendance was overwhelmingly positive. Thanks again to all of our sponsors who made this event possible!
