The mission of NYS GFOA is to strengthen the capacity of government finance professionals to manage public finances effectively and responsibly and to use the collective knowledge and expertise of its members for the public benefit by enhancing government efficiency and accountability throughout New York State.
Membership in New York State Government Finance Officers' Association, Inc. (NYS GFOA) provides you with tools, resources, and information to support your career. Membership also provides direct contact with your colleagues in municipal finance throughout the state, giving you the connections and support you need for success.
There are many opportunities for professional and personal growth through NYS GFOA such as the Annual Conference, regional seminars held across the State, the Government Finance Institute, group Internet training (Webinars) - live and recorded, online and in-house resources, and participation on regional councils, the governing board, or a variety of committees.
